We're available 24/7 to discuss treatment options.

Additional treatment options

Your gynecologic cancer team may employ other state-of-the-art treatment options, in addition to surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, based on the cancer type and stage and your individualized treatment plan.

Clinical trials

City of Hope offers clinical trials as part of our commitment to bringing our patients new and innovative cancer treatment options, especially for patient with advanced cancer or who may have run out of standard-of-care approaches. The research team at City of Hope carefully identifies and studies new and emerging treatment options that are supported by scientific and investigational research. Your care team will work with you to determine if you qualify for an existing trial and, if so, help you enroll.

Hormone therapy

Hormone therapy is a form of systemic therapy that works to add, block or remove hormones from your body to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells. At City of Hope, your oncologist may prescribe hormone therapy to fight various forms of cancer.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a broad category of cancer therapies that use the body's immune system to fight cancer cells.

Targeted therapy

Targeted therapy blocks the growth and spread of cancer by preventing cancer cells from dividing or destroying them. While standard chemotherapy affects all cells in your body, targeted therapy directs drugs (or other specially created substances like man-made immune system proteins) to attack cancer cells.

Ovarian cortex cryopreservation

This procedure involves freezing ovarian tissue before cancer treatment so women may be able to have children later. Ovarian cortex cryopreservation may offer women the chance to conceive children after treatment if other assisted reproductive technologies are not ideal for their situation.
